SickLittle Productions Presents: The Outer Puppets

A Sci-fi Puppet Storytelling Hour

by Richard Hinojosa

The Outer Puppets is brought to you by Sick Little Productions, a new theater company on the Indie scene, whose mission is to tell uncommon stories in unusual ways.

The Outer Puppets is the premier episode of a sci-fi puppet storytelling hour set in the future of low budget public theater. Three stories are told in one bizarre night of live Puppet Theater with live music. The first story, Official Probe, explores the cavernous gap between what officials want us to know and what the truth is. The second story, The Pet Light Bulb, finds a woman overwhelmed by her new bioluminescent worm and its strange needs. Chaos ensues when she breaks every rule in the owner’s manual. The final story, Digi-Lounger, propels us into the distant future when humans no longer have contact with anything except a giant digital butt plug. See what happens when an escaped experimental roach crawls on him. The show is hosted (and rudely commented on) by two junk robots from the outer rim (of Brooklyn).

Live music is composed and performed by Dan Sullivan and Naa Koshie Mills of the local band the Disclaimers. The show features performances by Bill Kennedy, Jonathan Harford, Lindsay MacNaughton, Ann Gillespie and Michael Gravison.

The producers/directors, Richard Hinojosa and Jason Griffith, have performed and produced in New York Indie Theater since 2000 and are pleased to premier this new company. The next episode of The Outer Puppets is set to be released in the fall of 2009.
